The Story of the Three Little Pigs
Once upon a time when pigs spoke rhyme, and monkeys chewed tobacco, and hens took snuff to make them tough, and ducks went quack, quack, quack, O!
从前啊，猪儿会念诗，猴子嚼烟叶，母鸡吸鼻烟好让自己变强壮，鸭子呱呱呱地叫！
There was an old sow with three little pigs, and as she had not enough to keep them, she sent them out to seek their fortune.
有一只老母猪带着三只小猪，因为她养不起它们了，就打发它们出去自己闯荡、碰碰运气。
The first that went off met a man with a bundle of straw, and said to him: "Please, man, give me that straw to build me a house."
第一只小猪先出发，路上遇到一个扛着一捆稻草的人，就对他说：大叔，请把稻草给我吧，我要盖房子。
Which the man did, and the little pig built a house with it.
那人就把稻草给了他，小猪用稻草盖了一座房子。
Presently came along a wolf, and knocked at the door, and said: "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."
不一会儿来了一只大灰狼，敲了敲门说：小猪，小猪，让我进来。
To which the pig answered: "No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin."
小猪回答说：不不不，我下巴上的毛发誓——不放你进来！
The wolf then answered to that: "Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in."
大灰狼听了就说：那我就要吹气，鼓气，把你的房子吹倒！
So he huffed, and he puffed, and he blew his house in, and ate up the little pig.
于是它吹啊吹、鼓啊鼓，把房子吹倒了，把小猪吃掉了。
The second little pig met a man with a bundle of furze, and said: "Please, man, give me that furze to build a house."
第二只小猪遇到一个扛着一捆荆豆的人，就说：大叔，请把荆豆给我吧，我要盖房子。
Which the man did, and the pig built his house.
那人把荆豆给了他，小猪用它盖了房子。
Then along came the wolf, and said: "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."
大灰狼又来了，说：小猪，小猪，让我进来。
"No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin."
不不不，我下巴上的毛发誓——不放你进来！
"Then I'll puff, and I'll huff, and I'll blow your house in."
那我就要鼓气，吹气，把你的房子吹倒！
So he huffed, and he puffed, and he puffed, and he huffed, and at last he blew the house down, and he ate up the little pig.
于是它鼓啊鼓、吹啊吹，吹啊吹、鼓啊鼓，最后终于把房子吹倒了，把小猪吃掉了。
The third little pig met a man with a load of bricks, and said: "Please, man, give me those bricks to build a house with."
第三只小猪遇到一个拉着一车砖头的人，就说：大叔，请把砖头给我吧，我要用它们盖房子。
So the man gave him the bricks, and he built his house with them.
那人把砖头给了他，小猪用砖头盖了一座结实的房子。
So the wolf came, as he did to the other little pigs, and said: "Little pig, little pig, let me come in."
大灰狼来了，像对前两只小猪那样说：小猪，小猪，让我进来。
"No, no, by the hair of my chiny chin chin."
不不不，我下巴上的毛发誓——不放你进来！
"Then I'll huff, and I'll puff, and I'll blow your house in."
那我就要吹气，鼓气，把你的房子吹倒！
Well, he huffed, and he puffed, and he huffed and he puffed, and he puffed and huffed; but he could not get the house down.
好啊，它鼓啊吹啊，吹啊鼓啊，鼓啊吹啊；可是房子怎么也吹不倒。
Then the wolf was very angry indeed, and declared he would eat up the little pig, and that he would get down the chimney after him.
大灰狼这下真的大发雷霆，扬言一定要吃掉小猪，还说要从烟囱里爬下去捉他。
When the little pig saw what he was about, he hung on the pot full of water, and made up a blazing fire, and, just as the wolf was coming down, took off the cover, and in fell the wolf; so the little pig put on the cover again in an instant, boiled him up, and ate him for supper, and lived happy ever afterwards.
小猪看出它的打算，就在炉子上挂了一口装满水的大锅，生起熊熊大火；等大灰狼正要下来时，他掀开锅盖，大灰狼扑通一声掉了进去。小猪立刻盖上锅盖，把大灰狼煮熟，当晚饭吃掉了，从此过上了幸福快乐的日子。
